As the COVID 19 pandemic remains a health and humanitarian crisis, our foremost priority has been to help create calm and minimize disruptions. With our flexible business model and expert global teams working from remote locations, we are doing our bit in making the lives of healthcare professionals easy during these tough times. Here’s how Gateway Corporation is helping one of our healthcare clients.

Client Overview: The client is one of the world’s leading medical technology companies working towards making healthcare better. They offer innovative products and services in orthopaedics, medical and surgical, neurotechnology and spine that help in improving patient and hospital outcomes.

Business Problem: Due to the current outbreak that has wreaked havoc across the world, the client and their staff faced challenges in managing the beds, patients, and equipment. With an aim to better manage their healthcare services during this time, the client was looking for a solution that would make it easy for their staff to carry out daily tasks in a better and easier way.

Our Analysis and Approach: With our decade long experience in providing digital healthcare solutions and strength and ability to find practical approach within the current mix of healthcare technologies and best practices, we analysed the key concern areas of our client. We studied the current situation and the clients’ long-term goals and came up with a custom healthcare application development service that would support our clients’ success and help them gain full value out of the investment.

Solution Highlights: We are developing a mobile app and a responsive web app for the patient care assistants and caregivers to keep a record of the occupancy of the beds in their hospitals. The app will detect each bed and help in getting the data of the current condition of the patient. The medical staff will enter the information about the patient, bed, and equipment in the app, which will get submitted to the admin. The web app is thought a centralized dashboard showing the information entered via the mobile app, specific to each bed, patient, and equipment, with the integration of BI will also generate various reports and display the information graphically to understand the live status of each patient occupying the bed. From the backend, it will also be possible to check the historic data and based on that generate various reports to understand the overall trend and direction.

Key Benefits:

  • The mobile app will be able to assist caregivers and healthcare staffs to manage the infrastructure, occupancy, and patient details on their fingertips.
  • A single-tap feature to fill the details will save a lot of time for the healthcare professionals.
  • Caregivers will get the details of the patient and the status of their health by looking at the details entered in the app.
  • The backend data will be used to easily locate a bed, patient, or equipment.
  • The app will also give the overall statistical data of the number of normal, critical, and recovered patients.
